Autotrader has 183 listings nationwide for the BRZ tS. That’s about 39% of the production run for the US. Have any Oppos test-driven (or own) one? I think it’s a fascinating car.

*But that wing is 2-position adjustable, providing meaningful downforce, so I say it fails the cosmetic-only test of rice-itude

I like it, but I don’t 33.5k like it.

But the car’s body shape already provided enough downforce for the speeds it could attain with the engine, which haven’t changed.
The actual performance upgrades are probably the most common things people do to them, too: Better wheels/tires and better springs/shocks.
Also: The last word should be “ effacement ”.

The problem is that there’s a $10,000 markup for what amounts to some bolt-on parts. And honestly, it looks way better without the wing on the back.
Side note, I just noticed that there’s a Subie dealer about 40 miles from me that is listing two BRZ tS models for more than $3,000 below MSRP.

~$7k to go to a tS trim. Not worth that much money.

The question is, what’s wrong with them that 39% of them are currently for sale?

I cant get into something that can’t even get out of its own way...
That being said they handle, but that’s it.

Too slow, don’t care.

My 1991 non-Turbo MR2 (with the 5S-FE Camry 4-banger) makes more torque at 3000 rpm than the BRZ makes at 4500.
People complain about how the new V6 Camry will own a BRZ off the line, but I’m pretty sure a ‘90s Camry would give it a run for its money too.

It’s about the same price as a Miata (Club trim level) but does the handling thing better. Makes the Miata look like a Hellcat in a straight line though :/

You’ve found the real name!

That’s pretty sad. Miatas are bags of fun though.
My problem with the price is that it’s 8k more than a base BRZ, and there’s probably more satisfying ways of spending 8k to improve a BRZ.

Yea, and I bet that wing makes it slower lol
But having driven a track preped N/A one, the handling is unreal.... and then the straight comes. LOL
